The Halata Residence has won the prestigious 2016 Chrysalis Award for Remodeling Excellence.


Designed by Jeffrey Simon Architecture & Interior Design and built by X-Act Contracting Corporation, this total gut renovation won their top honors



“This was the first year they have entered the awards, and to take home top honors on the first attempt is impressive,” says Ken Kanline, Director of the Awards.



Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 84 remodeling companies from across the United States were named winners at the 2016 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.


A Tribeca Loft Renovation submitted by X-Act Contracting Corporation won the National Award for Interior Renovation Above $100,000.

The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best work in fifteen general categories of residential and commercial remodeling. The Chrysalis Awards are open to every professional remodeler and design professional in the United States.
