A British Developer bought this 20 story building at the corner of Madison Avenue and 34th Street, desiring to significantly raise the rents.  In addition to upgrading all the public corridors and lavatories, Jeff suggested also buying the adjacent small buildings along the Avenue to greatly improve the awkward shape and floor size of 183 Madison.  In order to improve as many floors as possible and stay within the allowable zoning limitations, Jeff conceived of a stepped series of terraces rising from an elevated communal terrace and hospitality space.  Existing and proposed floor plans and concept views are attached.
