65 West 13th Street Fitness Facility

This Coop, at the corner of 6th Avenue and 13th Street, lacked a fitness facility, perhaps reducing the resale value of the apartments. The Board allowed the use of an unused part of the cellar with a dirt floor. In order to make the new amenity appealing the corridor from the lobby, the elevator down and the cellar hall had to be improved as well.

JSA&D was engaged to create a gym with a spa-like vibe using soft green and grey colors, working with the variety of ceiling heights and overhead pipes to create a comfortable and safe environment. A children's lounge was provided with a giant TV and a large glass wall allowing parents on treadmills to observe their little ones.
