National Public Media, sales teammate of NPR and PBS, needed to enlarge their offices, taking over a vacant neighboring space.  Among their list of requirements was a reception area, guest seating, lunchroom, café, large conference room, gathering space, visitor touch-down space………all of which are infrequently used, except during lunch.  The staff loved having lunch together.  Jeff recommended that NPM bundle all of those spaces into one “community space” like a large corporate living room affording increased comfort to each different type of non-simultaneous occupancy.  The café with its “sharing table” is an informal conversation area and gathering point.  The large conference room, complete with banquettes along its borders, has an inexpensive folding wall allowing it to open up to the café area.   It is a truly a multipurpose and corporate living space.
